After years of working on it together remotely from different sides of the world, it's in its final stages! A lot of the work was done at @studiolockdown thanks to Shaun and Daz We released our first album probably about 10 years ago, on cassette tape! I've written a long post before about Marianna and I've written a long post before about Marianna and Lisa at @newvoicestudiobrillapaglin in Osimo, Italy. There are no words to express my appreciation for them and their work. It's so simple yet deceptively difficult - to let go of everything that stops us speaking or singing freely. You only have to turn on the radio to hear someone screaming and pushing their voice, and this trend has become so all encompassing that people not only think it's normal, but they think it's good. Yet so many of these famous singers end up with injuries and having to get surgery. It's sad to see, and even sadder to listen to! My voice issues started 6 years ago, and until recently were so severe that I could barely function, every day was full of pain and tension, avoidance and despair. Only now am I starting to be thankful that I'm going through all this, because I'm learning about the voice and myself in ways that never would have happened otherwise. I could never have done this without the guidance of these two amazing women, because nobody else in the world is teaching this!
